本課程對象為獸醫專業學院分子暨比較病理生物學研究所及各系所研究生；特別是有意願前往生農學院共儀中心擬使用電子顯微鏡進行論文研究之研究生，修課為使用電顯的條件之一。每周四下午(或周一上午)上課，講演2小時，學程為一學期2學分之選修課程。
課程內容包括電子顯微鏡發展經過，生物組織固定、脫水、臨界點乾燥、金屬鍍膜、組織滲透、包埋、聚合、切片、染色、上機觀察照相、暗房技術等，探討高解析度影像品質之影響因子，切片、染色所遇問題及解決之道，並進行動物組織病理顯微結構之判讀。
